DEATHPILE

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how DEATHPILE ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you use our website at getdeathpile.com and the DEATHPILE app at app.getdeathpile.com.

Information we collect

  • Account details: your email address and password. Passwords are stored securely hashed by our sign-in provider, never in plain text.
  • Your business data: the items you add or import, with their prices, purchase details, storage locations and notes, plus your bulk lots, trade-ins and store credit, business costs and saved default locations.
  • Photos: item images you upload, or take with your phone's camera in the app.
  • eBay data: if you connect one or more eBay accounts, we store each account's eBay username and region, and a secure access token that lets us sync on your behalf. We retrieve your listings and orders, including prices, fees, postage, and any cancellations or returns. We don't store your buyers' names, addresses or contact details.
  • Subscription details: your plan, whether you pay monthly or yearly, and a reference to your subscription with our payment provider. If you've been given complimentary access, we keep a note of why.
  • Messages you send us: your name, email address and message when you use our contact form.
  • Usage analytics: a record of which app features are used, such as a sync running or an item being saved. It is linked to your account's ID, not your name or email address, and is collected by us directly. We don't use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
  • Technical information: like most online services, our hosting providers automatically log details such as your IP address and browser type when you use the website or app. These logs help keep the service secure and working.

How we use your information

  • To provide and operate the DEATHPILE app and its features.
  • To sync your eBay listings and sales and calculate your profit and analytics.
  • To manage your subscription and process payments.
  • To reply to your messages and send service emails, such as password resets.
  • To understand which features are used so we can improve the product.

Information stored on your device

The app keeps a small amount of information in your browser so it works smoothly: your sign-in session, and preferences such as light or dark mode and your dashboard and table filters. If you add or edit items while offline, they are saved on your device, along with any photos, until you're back online and they sync to your account. If you install the app on your phone or computer, its files are stored on your device so it can open without a connection. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Payments

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe, we pass Stripe your email address to set up your subscription. We do not store your card details; these are handled securely by Stripe.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers we need to run DEATHPILE, and where required by law:

  • Supabase, for our database, sign-in, photo storage and server functions.
  • Vercel, which hosts our website and app.
  • Stripe, for subscription payments.
  • eBay, when you connect an account and we sync on your behalf.
  • Our email providers, to deliver contact form messages and service emails.
  • Google Fonts, which supplies the fonts on this website. Your browser requests them from Google, so Google receives your IP address.

Disconnecting eBay and cancelling

You can disconnect an eBay account at any time in the app's Settings. This stops syncing and deletes the access token we hold for that account, while keeping the items and costs already in your account. You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings. Your data stays in your account unless you ask us to delete it.

Keeping your data safe

Your data is encrypted in transit, and access is restricted so that only you can see your account's data. We keep it for as long as your account is open. No system is completely secure, but we take care to protect your information.

Children

DEATHPILE is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and change the "Last updated" date above.

Your rights and contacting us

You can view and correct your data, disconnect eBay, or cancel your subscription at any time from your account. You also have the right to request a copy of your data, ask us to delete your account and its data, or object to how we use it. For any of these, or if you have a question about this policy, please get in touch. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
